He was born in Mersin Erdemli in November 1968. He graduated from Erdemli High School in 1986 and Selçuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in June , he was appointed as a research assistant at Selçuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. He completed his doctorate in the same department in 1997. He became an associate professor in November 2000 and a professor in May 2006. He served as a board member, senate member, and college principal at Selçuk University. He has over 100 national and international publications on General Toxicology, mycotoxins, and clinical pharmacology (h index 24; i-10 index 36). He gave undergraduate and postgraduate Pharmacology and Toxicology courses at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Nursing, Physical Education, Midwifery and CBRN Departments of Selçuk University and 4 different universities at home and abroad. He also gave lectures within the scope of Erasmus at universities abroad. He graduated 10 doctoral and 3 master's students. He carried out projects from TÜBITAK, BAP, TAGEM and abroad and participated in some of them as a researcher. He speaks fluent English and intermediate German. His special interests include Mediterranean, Yöruk and Taurus Culture, Nature (trekking, photography) and Table Tennis.
