Megan Gokceli

Welcome! My name is Megan, and I am so happy that you are here! I am a California native, but recently relocated to Izmir, Turkiye with my husband and daughter. Like you, I am also learning a new language…and I know that is no easy task. But being able to reflect on my role as a second-language learner helps me be a better teacher for you!

With that, I strive to create a safe learning environment for you to practice. Making mistakes is normal when learning new things, but my gentle approach with error-correction and recommendations will leave you feeling motivated. Sessions with me will be high energy and natural-flowing.

Whether you are a young learner working on letter sounds, a student looking for research paper proofreading, or a professional refining their resume, I am ready to help you reach your goal. I have a diverse background with roots in educating others. I coached water polo to athletes of all ages for over 8 years, and also have classroom experience assisting students with learning difficulties. My most recent professional experience is with Fortune 100 Company New York Life Insurance [Company] where I onboarded new financial professionals. As I grew within my role, I began training others on the onboarding process.

Along with TEFL certificate, I have both my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business Administration. With a concentration in Human Resources and Management, I am well-trained in conducting research and writing structurally sound papers. I absolutely love conversing about organizational behavior, and am very interested in engaging in other topics such as finance, economics and marketing.

While I am in my 1st year as an ESL tutor, I am no stranger to educating others and being a supportive role in their learning journey. I genuinely care about helping people reach their goals, and would love to have that opportunity with you!
