As an IELTS instructor, my teaching approach is focused on equipping students with the specific skills and strategies needed to excel in the IELTS exam. My goal is to ensure that students are not only familiar with the test format but also confident in their ability to perform well in each section. I employ a variety of teaching methods tailored to the IELTS exam, such as using practice tests to simulate real exam conditions, teaching effective exam strategies, such as time management, understanding question types, and identifying keywords and providing detailed feedback on practice tasks, with constructive corrections and tips for improvement.
I also teach General English (A2-B2 levels). My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that language is not only a tool for communication but also a gateway to understanding diverse cultures and perspectives. My lessons are meticulously planned to balance the development of core language skills - reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I focus on developing specific skills required for each section of the test, such as skimming and scanning for reading, and note-taking for listening. I strive to develop my students' critical thinking skills by teaching them to analyze and interpret a wide range of texts, facilitating debates and discussions on various topics to encourage them to think deeply and articulate their viewpoints and assigning reflective writing tasks that prompt students to connect their personal experiences with the material studied.
I aim to equip my students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and communicate effectively in the world beyond the classroom.
