Hello there! I am Alexander, 29 and I am from Ghana but I am residing in Turkey. I have a Bachelors degree in Administration as well as an ESL ceritification from the Arizona State University.
You might be wondering why I am an English Teacher. Well here is the thing, originally I am a professional Administrative Assistant. However, after a year of practising administration, I felt I had digressed my passion, in effect I was not so fufilled. So I had to make a career switch. It was a bold decision but definitely one worth wrtiting home about. Fast forward, I chose ESL Teaching and 5 years down this pathway, I am happier than I could have ever anticipated.
As far as my teaching techniques are concerned, I am deeply comitted to achieving student excellence. All through my professional teaching career I have developed a broad range of experential knowledge of the most effective teaching methods and techniques used to optimize the learning experience. Key modules that I find very beneficial include the Instructioinal Studies, Inclusive Teaching and The Communicative Approach.

I am motivated by the desire to bring value to students which is why I have taken the liberty of expressing my desire in helping you.
As such, I focus more on how the students can acquire the language and use it in the real world context. I try to incorporate the 20, 80 approach in my teaching. Quite apart from that, the approach that best suits my teaching style is the Affective-Humanistic Approach. Some students have a high level of affection filter. Therefore, I make conscious effort to connect with their feelings in order to break the ice. I make use of technology enriched songs, pictures, stories, games that interest them the most; not only as an attention-grabber but to enhance understanding of the lesson objective and ultimately language acquisition.

Perinent to Business English, I make use of highly advanced vocabulary specific to the corporate world. I lay much emphasis on the need to be abreast with useful phrases necessary for the most professional and straightforward conversation. I also focus on providing my students with cutting-edge strategies on how to master drafting formal emails, memos, presentation and the like.
